First planters and pledges 2007
















Croatia

"ENO Students
in Gymnasium Dr. Ivan Kranjcev Djurdjevac were
the first participants in the ENO Tree Planting Campaign 2007.

3rd of January 2007, students planted 13 trees. Trees were
planted in the school backyard and they are fine for now. We hope
that they will survive the winter and they will proudly stand as a
reminder for us and the others that the nature is everything we have
and we should do our best to save The Nature. "

Kenya

A pledge of 10 000 trees by MKYIER

Mount Kenya Youth Initiative for Ecosystem Restoration (MKYIER) is a
community-based organization founded by graduates’ volunteers from
various fields (IT, Forestry, Journalist, Dentist, Mass media, and project
officer in other NGOs).

" We have established 22 tree nurseries in 22 local schools, and are
going to buy variety seeds to donated to the schools and also to enable us
expand to other schools in the region these is in preparation of March the
raining season we shall have plenty of seedlings to plant with the school
kids and the neighbouring community."

Sri Lanka

"Arunalu Youth Programme has been organized to raise a nursery with
5000 plants to plant it during the rainy season that begins in mid April.
We have some pockets of forests that was mismanaged and destroyed
by the irresponsible hands.Hence as it need to maintain the biodiversity
of the area we decided to carry out reforestation campaign with the assistance
of other organizations and we take the responsibility of raising required plants.
Further we started awareness programme to educate school children in
this regard and it will continue."
