Whole university involved in Peru!
143students and 7 teachers took part in the ENO Climate Change Campaign 2010 at National University of Education Enrique Guzmán y Valle, Lima Peru. This campaign was introduced very broadly in the university. Faculties of education &physical culture, science (chemistry, natural science, physics, mathematics, ) technology and social sciences were involved. They made research on the impacts of climate change in Peru and organised the parade march. The delegation of students accompanied by their teachers marched with banners, posters, banners, alluding to the Climate Change Campaign and the Campaign's mascot Frank Tthe Ffrog to combat climate change and the party collecting the pledges of the university community of UNE to reduce the impact of climate change. This campaign served as a motivation, awareness, participation, action and commitment of students and professors from the university.
Some slogans by participants: "Future generations will not forgive us for having wasted his last chance, last chance is today.” "Peru is the 3rd country more vulnerable to climate change, over 145 thousand hectares of virgin forest are lost annually.”
This achievement was organised by Blga. MARITZA A. FLORES GUERRERO in co-operation with Dr Bárbara Matos Melendez, ENO Peru Coordinator.
