Seal The Deal Day 16 NOV !
Climate change affects us all. Nine out of every ten disasters recorded are now climate related. Rising temperatures and more frequent floods, droughts and storms affect millions of people’s lives. This is set against a backdrop of financial and food insecurity.
On December 7, governments will gather in Copenhagen, Denmark to respond to one of the greatest challenges facing humanity. The main question will be how protect the planet and create a green economy that will lead to long-term prosperity.
The United Nations has launched “Seal the Deal” campaign that encourages users to sign an online, global petition which will be presented by civil society to governments of the world.
The petition will serve as a reminder that our leaders must negotiate a fair, balanced and effective agreement in Copenhagen, and that they must seal a deal to power green growth, protect our planet and build a more sustainable, prosperous global economy that will benefit all nations and people.
THERE IS NO TIME TO WASTE: STAMP YOUR VOTE AND SEAL THE DEAL!

Join Seal the Deal!
We invite YOU to join the global chorus calling on world leaders to seal the deal on a global agreement to combat climate change.
Seal the Deal! is a powerful campaign by the United Nations to encourage governments to agree to a fair, balanced and effective climate agreement when they meet in Copenhagen this December.
Seal the Deal! is about mobilizing individuals and communities on an ambitious scale to raise a strong call for urgent and united action on climate change. It's about YOU and your future, and the world we leave for our children.
The latest science shows our climate is changing more rapidly than expected. Millions of people are already suffering from the effects of climate change. Hundreds of millions more - including YOU - could be affected if we don't act immediately.
While leadership at the highest level is needed to protect the planet and build a more sustainable global economy, concerted action by ALL is what will make the real difference. Every voice counts!
What you can do!

Chat with other participants or join our special chat day!
Our special chat day will be Thursday 22nd of January. There will be some experts online to chat with you. It is recommendable that students are not only themselves in the chat room (if they are not almost adults and very reliable). We have to take care of appropriate behaviour. But of course, social interaction is important.
Please find the links to our chat rooms in the column on the right.
